Cision, the leading provider of PR software, services and tools for the media and public relations industry, today announced that it has integrated new social media news distribution capabilities into the latest release of CisionPoint, its award-winning on-demand PR software solution.
The CisionPoint Winter Release, available today, enables users to send press releases directly to their corporate or personal Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn accounts for distribution across social media channels.
Through a single integrated solution – CisionPoint – users can simultaneously connect with media and key influencers across all major channels: email, fax, wire, web, the search-engine optimized CisionWire news distribution engine, and now social media.
“Direct distribution to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn within CisionPoint helps PR professionals boost both effectiveness and productivity. With the most distribution channels of any PR software solution, CisionPoint enables users to easily take advantage of every major means of connection to reach out to their audiences,” said Joe Bernardo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cision North America.
The latest quarterly upgrade to CisionPoint also includes the ability to track the “open rate” of emails sent to contacts. By knowing who has opened an email and who hasn’t, CisionPoint users can determine appropriate follow-up strategies. Users can import their own personal address lists of contacts and outlets.
The Winter release also extends CisionPoint’s publicity value metric to social media – permitting users of CisionPoint analytics to measure the impact of their communications against all media types. Publicity value for social media measures the number of comments, views, votes Twitter followers, and more.
“No other PR software offering can match CisionPoint’s best-in-class global media database, comprehensive distribution channels, media and social media monitoring, and results analysis – all integrated into one solution,” Mr. Bernardo said.
CisionPoint enables users to plan, connect, monitor and analyze their campaigns through a single software platform. Launched in October 2007, CisionPoint rapidly became the standard on-demand platform for its customers worldwide, including Fortune 500 corporations, FTSE 250 companies, global public relations firms, non-profit organizations, universities, and small businesses.
Winner of the 2009 CODiE Award for Best Online News Service, CisionPoint has been a CODiE Award finalist five times in the past two years. The award is sponsored by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA). CisionPoint is also the recipient of the Product Development of the Year award given by the Data Publishers Association (DPA).
