Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, 2010/11/19 - Ivor Collier CEO of Cambridge based specialist electronic document management solutions business Enterprise Consulting (‘ECL’) is delighted to announce that he has acquired 100% of the business from private shareholders.
ECL was founded over 10 years ago as the only European vendor of the Synergy Enterprise Content Management software suite as used by 70% of all American banks. The Company is technology driven and focussed on the electronic storage and conversion of paper. Its strengths lie in understanding its customers’ businesses and the way that information derived from digitised images is used to enhance enterprise-wide productivity and effectiveness, streamline operations and support better informed, timelier decisions.
ECL’s product portfolio now includes its own state of the art scanning bureau based in Cambridge and in an exciting new development it has launched its own hosted document management solution employing all aspects of cloud computing. Uniquely this offers not only SME’s the functionality of an enterprise class document management system for a monthly subscription fee of £40.
ECL’s customers include BP Oil, some of the UK’s biggest household names in private banking and financing, the NHS, Brown Shipley, Investec Trust, Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, Walkers Crips, Weetabix and Genzyme.
Commenting on the deal Ivor Collier said “Following the management buyout, ECL has great opportunities to extend its range of services and customers, not only in East Anglia, but throughout the UK. We want to show businesses how easy, secure and cost effective it can be to move from paper based storage and office systems to a centralised, electronic document repository. I would like to thank Lake Falconer at PEM Corporate Finance for helping me to put the deal together”
Lake Falconer of PEM Corporate Finance commented “We are pleased to have been able to help Ivor Collier to complete the buyout. Anyone in business will end up with a lot of paper, and with developments in technology, and Cloud Computing ECL is well placed to deliver the service and insight it provides to its Enterprise level customers to SME’s”
