Hauppauge, NY, United States, 2010/11/09 - The functionality of the USB-331 and USB-335 ASCII to USB Keyboard Converters from Vetra Systems has been extended fully to support generation of all Microsoft Windows keyboard shortcuts, such as minimizing windows.
Vetra Systems Corporation announced today that its RS-232 to USB keyboard Code Converters now fully support generation of Microsoft Windows keyboard shortcuts. This means that a PC running Microsoft Windows can be controlled from a serial ASCI character source, such as another PC with full implementation of keyboard shortcuts, such as displaying the System Properties dialog box or minimizing all windows.
Vetra Systems has taken advantage of its unique, patented technology to achieve this functionality. The technology is used in its model USB-331 and USB-335 family of SmartPipe™ ASCII Serial Code To USB Keyboard Code Converters. Users of these products now can freely use ASCII serial codes to achieve full control of their Windows applications. Vetra’s advanced code and protocol conversion technology assures accurate data conversion in the most demanding situations.
In addition, the USB-331 and USB-335 Converters have an Extra Speed Option. When this Option is selected, incoming ASCII data is processed at four times the standard USB keyboard rate.
Vetra’s technology can be extended on custom order basis to generate special keying sequences to suit special applications.
