The conference takes place Nov. 8-12 at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
“This presentation will create an understanding of the impact of maintenance on electrical safety and encourage maintenance planning in the overall protective strategies of electrical workers,” said Moore.
Moore’s presentation, scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 10:20 am. – 12 pm., will examine a prime area where NFPA 70E compliance issues can occur due to improper or lack of maintenance of electrical components, wiring and equipment, which can create higher exposure levels to arc flash and arc blast.
“Proper personal protective equipment is essential, but an electrical worker must recognize that poorly maintained electrical systems and components can compromise the ability of the protective devices to operate within their designed parameters, endangering the worker’s life.”
