Ft. Myers, FL, United States, 2010/11/03 - Award-Winning Marketing Professional recruited by Local Law Firm Viles and Beckman, LLC - Don Demrow has been named Director of Marketing and Media at Viles and Beckman, LLC.
Demrow brings with him over twelve years of award-winning User Interface design experience, in addition to many years of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) experience and expertise.
Demrow has designed and developed web interfaces and applications for members of The U.S. House of Representatives, various federal, state, county, and municipal agencies, television stations, and even Microsoft.
Viles and Beckman, LLC is a well-established law firm in Southern Florida, and is expected to become more prominent as a result of Demrow's marketing efforts.
Demrow states, "I've been looking for a company with this kind of vision for most of my career - this is a natural fit, and Viles and Beckman are probably the only law firm I have ever seen that is savvy enough to understand what we are about to undertake. They do everything they do with incredible attention to detail, and an obsessive commitment to excellence. I am honored to be a part of that."
Demrow began his web design and development career in Munich, Germany in early 1997 after attending UMUC in Bad Aibling, Germany. He is known as a staunch supporter of accessibility issues, compliance standards, and usability - the scientific application of standards and practices that closely mirror ergonomics to website design.
Demrow's designs have earned him awards such as the coveted "German Internet Oscar" for his work on the German website "Gute Zeiten / Schlechte Zeiten" - (Good Times, Bad Times), and awards for GIS (Geographical Information Systems) user interface designs, among others.
Since early 2008, Demrow has been Vice President of HFE (Human Factors Engineering) and has been working on projects directed at solving user interface problems, one of which was the aggressive ADA/Section 508 program he headed up while there.
Section 508 is the portion of the Americans with Disabilities Act that deals with accessibility issues faced by unsighted users of technology. Demrow's work has been instrumental in allowing unsighted customer service representatives to perform the same job as sighted customer service representatives, making use of customer service software tools at Citibank.
In his new role with Viles and Beckman (vilesandbeckman.com), Demrow will be creating a new look and feel for Viles and Beckman's online presence, improving their websites, and creating applications that are expected to be cutting-edge to the law industry.
