Dallas, TX, United States, 10/25/2010 - Mike Moore, of Shermco Industries, will participate in a discussion on the “Qualified Electrical Worker” at the American Wind Energy Association Health & Safety Workshop (AWEA).

The event will be held in Austin, Texas, Oct. 26 from 10:30 am. – 12 p.m. at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.
Moore will be among a distinguished group of electrical services industry and OSHA experts that will define what a qualified electrical worker is, along with methods and sources of proper electrical safety training. Speakers will also explain how OSHA requirements relate to the wind industry and elaborate on the challenge of ensuring a qualified electrical workforce within the growing industry.
“To be a qualified electrical worker, you must know and understand the requirements and best practices of doing your job safely, because otherwise lives are at risk,” said Moore.
The AWEA Health & Safety Workshop is an opportunity for health and safety professionals in the wind industry to deepen their understanding of occupational safety challenges and solutions.
AWEA is a national organization that helps promote wind power growth through advocacy, communication, and education.
