Atlona Technologies® today announced that its digital connectivity solutions were a hit at CEDIA EXPO 2010. The company took home the prestigious Custom Retailer Exc!te Award for its AT-DIS7-HD 7-inch testing monitor and was selected as a finalist for several other industry-leading awards. In addition, Atlona’s new 3-D-compatible products and Si (System Integrator) line of digital connectivity solutions made a huge splash with dealers.
The Exc!te Award, presented annually by Custom Retailer magazine, pays tribute to products that stand out for being innovative, high-performing solutions oriented to the custom installation professional. This year the judges were impressed by Atlona’s AT-DIS7-HD 7-inch testing monitor, which provides installers and integrators with a simple solution for testing cabling and monitoring or verifying audio and video settings on remotely located displays. This portable monitor recognizes any HDMI or DVI source at resolutions up to 1080p (including computer resolutions) and allows users to observe both audio and video signals in real time.
The testing monitor was also named as a finalist for a CE Pro BEST Award in the “Tools, Testing, and Calibration” category, and Atlona’s AT-PROHD1616M-SR matrix switch was selected as a RESI Award finalist in the “Custom Installation Accessory” category. A true 16x16:2 HDMI matrix switch, the AT-PROHD1616M-SR features 16 HDMI 1.3 inputs and 16 independently switchable HDMI + Twister Pair outputs to feed 16 separate displays simultaneously.
Beyond impressing judges, Atlona made a huge impact with dealers at CEDIA EXPO with the introduction of its Si line of digital connectivity solutions for home theater and light commercial A/V systems. The Si line is a one-stop shop for a full range of products — including cables, distribution amplifiers, matrix switchers, extenders, converters, scalers, and much more — that address any conceivable issue in the field while ensuring the best possible end product for the end user. In addition, Atlona debuted several new 3-D-compatible units from all of its product lines.
Additionally, dealers were very excited about Atlona’s new Installer’s Tool Kit. Offering the integrator everything needed for testing, assembled into one effective package, the Installer’s Tool Kit includes the DIS7-PROHD monitor to test HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, and 3-D sources; the HD800 portable HDMI signal generator with 1080p and 3D support; and HDSync HDMI EDID capture recorder/writer with serial control. For complete portability, the kit features a built-in speaker and an available battery pack. This is only the first of a number of tool kits that offer installers all of the troubleshooting solutions they need in one packaged deal.
“CEDIA EXPO 2010 was a very exciting event for us. We are honored to have been recognized with the Exc!te Award, and we are proud to have been named as a finalist for so many other prestigious awards,” said Joshua Carlson, director of public relations, Atlona Technologies. “But as exciting as CEDIA was for us, it was even more so for our dealers. Our 3-D-compatible units, Si line, and Installer’s Tool Kit received a very warm welcome from the steady stream of visitors to our booth. We work hard to make installers’ lives easier in the field, and it is gratifying to receive such positive feedback on our efforts. It’s been a great show, and we can’t wait to do it again next year.”
