Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom, 2010/10/06 - Blue Chip, the IT specialist, today announced it is one of just four companies in the UK to have achieved both Premier Solutions Provider (PSP) status and Consolidate (NAS) Specialty status under EMC’s Velocity2 Partner Program.
Blue Chip engineers underwent training and exams to qualify for PSP status. They were then required to achieve a combination of EMC Proven Professional Certification and Accreditation to further qualify Blue Chip as a Velocity² Consolidate Specialty Partner.
The latter means Blue Chip (bluechip.uk.com) is certified to deliver storage area network (SAN) or network-attached storage (NAS) solutions to enable efficient power and storage utilisation that is dynamically configured and managed. Specialty Partners are able to recommend the correct EMC infrastructure for their customer’s business challenges and implement an entire end-to-end EMC solution combining hardware, software and services skills.
Blue Chip Managing Director, Richard Cook said: “Partnering with EMC, the world’s leading developer and provider of information infrastructure solutions, chimes with our core business growth aims, which have centred on delivering virtualisation and storage technologies over recent years, The combination of Premier Solutions Provider and Specialty status’ are extremely important as this tells the market that we are viewed by EMC as ‘trusted advisers’ and specialists of their products. This gives us a clear advantage over non-accredited resellers; which is a critical competitive differentiator for us, and hugely beneficial for our customers.”
EMC has invested in comprehensive support for its partners to create the Velocity2 Partner Program, which includes unprecedented support for resellers at every stage of pre-sales, sales, delivery and implementation.
Richard Cook continues: “The Velocity2 Partner Program gives us access to, and pre-launch technical training on, EMC’s industry leading hardware, software, solutions and services. The use of EMC’s product Application Programming Interface (API) means we can both deliver its cutting edge solutions as soon as they are available, and very quickly.
“The result is that we are ahead of the game and fully prepared to sell and deliver solutions applicable to our customer’s needs as soon as they come to market; we can differentiate our offering depending on the customer, and crucially, deliver more value to them.”
Ryan Lee, Partner Account Manager at EMC, said: “We welcome Blue Chip as a Velocity2 Partner within EMC and offer sincere thanks and congratulations for all the hard work that went into achieving it. As a Velocity² Partner, Blue Chip and its customers will receive the highest level of support in ensuring the success of their EMC solution.”
