Michael Strauss, CEO of PASS Consulting and Head of the Business Unit Travel worldwide, believes that the travel industry has huge potential for improvement. According to Strauss, “In other industries technology sets the pace for innovation, while in the travel industry it seems to be lagging behind. A more sophisticated level of enthusiasm regarding innovation would make the industry more resistant to future fluctuations and also would result in new attractive products and processes, which in the end will help put the traveler into the spotlight again.”
The release of the book comes at a critical time as internet giants speed-to-market, wanting a piece of the action, while the existing industry players are busy cannibalizing themselves. “It is about time for all participants to rethink the game.” Michael adds.
