Nevada’s top selling real estate company recently launched a complete program of smart phone and wireless capabilities to help home buyers and sellers on the go. Prudential Americana Group’s “On The Road With Prudential” campaign has introduced its 1,200 licensed REALTORs, along with thousands of home buyers and sellers, to the technology specifically designed for smart phone users.
“On the Road With Prudential brings our full capabilities right to your smart phone,” said Gordon Miles, COO of Prudential Americana Group. “Whether you are on the road or in front of a home and want to know more about it, you can get details on any home for sale in the area with a GPS-capable smart phone.” The service is available for any home in Southern Nevada listed with the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR).
Among the options available at no charge and with no required registration is a texting program that allows home shoppers to text the word LOOK to the number 32323 for current and comprehensive information on the home they are nearest to. “You can search for schools, services, restaurants, shopping centers, and even FBI statistics on the area,” said Miles. “You can even find out walking distances from that home to schools, libraries and parks. Anything you want to know about a home for sale is available at your fingertips.”
Prudential also offers two versions of its website-one for computer users and one enhanced for smart phone users. “If you log on to americanagroup.com from your smart phone, the site will be customized to mobile phone settings and capabilities,” said Miles. “You’ll spend a fraction of the time you normally would on a traditional real estate site searching for listings and information.”
Another program the company now offers is the Cirrus Interactive Map Search. This program allows home shoppers to create pre-defined boundaries, allowing them to search by school district, zip code, neighborhoods, short sales and foreclosures. “You can literally create the boundaries of the area you’re interested in just look in that specific area.”
According to Miles, Prudential invested in forward-thinking technology because the industry is already starting to demand it. “Smart phones are becoming more prevalent among home shoppers,” he said. “Within the next two years, we expect more than half our clients to want these services.”
“Our goal is to be THE local source for Las Vegas real estate information and resources,” said Miles. “No matter what company name is on the sign, the most up-to-date information is available online or via text at the touch of a button. On the Go With Prudential makes your home search easy and fun. Just like it should be.”
