ACT Conferencing has been selected by CBS Television Distribution to be the provider of video conferencing for the nationally syndicated television show “Swift Justice With Nancy Grace,” that premieres today. Guests on the show will use ACT Proximity video conferencing service as Nancy Grace interviews them live in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers each day.
ACT Proximity is a worldwide network of state-of-the-art video room rental suites. With more than 4,500 public video conference room locations, users gain rapid access to affordable virtual meetings without the need to own or operate video conferencing equipment.
“We rely on the HD [high definition] quality of ACT’s Proximity service to interview dozens of people nationwide each week,” said John Terenzio, Executive Producer for Swift Justice With Nancy Grace. “ACT is a great fit and convenient for our show’s guests.”
“As daytime and cable television talk shows grow in popularity, it is becoming more common for the guests to be interviewed via Web and video conferencing instead of the show flying them in for one interview on camera,” said Marina Bogard, chief sales and marketing officer. “ACT is poised to become an even larger part of this trend because we have leading technology and a proven model that makes it easy for TV shows to use.”
ACT’s Proximity services are also growing in popularity among the business community, as cash-strapped companies look for ways to cut travel costs while still making essential face-to-face connections with clients, partners and customers. In the first half of 2010, ACT reported a 50 percent increase in first-time Proximity users. Many of ACT Proximity customers include Fortune 500 companies.
