The medical device company specializes in medical assembly and will be taking on new staff to keep up with demand.

Europlaz, a specialist medical device manufacturer, based in Essex, is bucking the trend of British manufacturing and taking on new staff to keep up with demand.

2010 has seen Europlaz win a number of new contracts from blue chip companies in the UK and USA to manufacture some highly technical, innovative medical products. As a result the company is increasing its investment and development. Spending over a quarter of a million £ expanding cleanroom facilities and the same again on new machinery.

Europlaz will soon unveil a brand new 4,000 square foot cleanroom. Just like our two existing cleanrooms it will be accredited to ISO 14644-1 Class 7 and is specifically designed for processing all classes of medical devices.

In a time of unemployment, lack of university places and near recession, Europlaz hopes this is a welcome boost for the local economy.

The first of the new jobs to be advertised include an Injection Mould Setter and a Quality Engineer. Around ten more vacancies at all levels will be announced in the run up to Christmas. Europlaz are also in the early stages of creating apprenticeships in machine setting, machine maintenance, quality control and 3D CAD design.
