Below are details on GEís seven new officers:

Joseph Anis, 39, has been appointed vice president of the Middle East for GE Energy. Anis has held several roles leading major sales initiatives in the Middle East and Africa throughout his 13 years at GE.

Prior to his current role, Anis served as the region executive for GE Energy in the Middle East, where he was responsible for driving growth and sustainability in the region across the businessí entire portfolio. He also acted as the regional manager for Power Generation Sales in the Middle East and Africa.

Anis earned his bachelorís degree in political science from Syracuse University in New York.

A. John Lammas, 50, is vice president and Engineering and Technology Leader for GE Oil & Gas. In this role, Lammas leads the Global Engineering Team bringing the latest technologies into the Oil & Gas industry to deliver innovative products to our customers and continue to support the growth of the business.

Lammas has been with GE for 25 years and prior to his current role he was general manager of Gas Turbine & Thermal Systems with GE Energy. He also served as chief engineer for that business and held leadership-engineering roles on several of GE Aviationís key jet engine programs.

Lammas obtained his bachelorís degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Salford in Manchester, England.

Neeraj Mehta, 39, is the vice president of Bank Loans, a business within GE Capital. Mehta joined GE in 1996, and since then has worked his way through GEís Corporate Financial Services business, holding a number of leadership positions including auditing, underwriting, six sigma and origination.

Most recently, he was senior executive for the Bank Loans group where he managed a $20B lending business for GE Capital, Americas. As a leading institutional investor, Bank Loans invests in syndicated bank loan facilities and distressed debt situations. The business played an integral part in helping GE Capital, Americas navigate through the last few years. Mehta was also managing director then senior managing director for GE Capitalís Corporate Financial Services organization. Mehta is a member of Asian Pacific American Forumís Executive Council for GE.

Mehta earned his masterís degree in finance and banking from Syracuse University and received his bachelorís degree in social science from the University of California, Irvine.

David Nason, 39, has been appointed as senior vice president and global regulatory management and compliance officer for GE Capital. In this newly created leadership role, Nason will lead the global regulatory and compliance team and prepare the business for the changing regulatory environment in markets around the world.

Nason joins GE with more than 16 years of financial services and regulatory experience in senior government and private sector roles. Most recently, Nason was managing director at Promontory Financial Group, a leading global financial services consultancy. In this role, he provided counsel to corporations and government entities in corporate governance, risk and financial controls, M&A and regulatory requirements.

Previously, Nason was the assistant secretary for Financial Institutions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Before joining the Treasury Department, Nason spent three years as a counsel to a commissioner at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Nason received his law degree from the Washington College of Law at The American University and earned his bachelorís degree in finance from The American University in Washington, D.C.

He will join GE on August 30, reporting to Mike Neal, chairman and CEO, GE Capital.

Martha Poulter, 43, was recently named vice president and chief information officer for GE Capital. The 14-year GE veteran has held a range of information technology and e-Business leadership roles across GE Capital. Most recently, she served as the chief information officer of GE Capitalís Americas pole, where she was responsible for driving global digitization strategy, organization and delivery of customer value through technology.

As the chief information officer for GE Capital, Poulter will be a key leader in shaping the Companyís IT strategy in the new regulatory environment. She is responsible for further integrating the best of GE Capitalís IT applications, infrastructure and resources across all consumer and commercial platforms.

Poulter completed her MBA from the University of New Haven and received her bachelorís degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Rafael Santana, 38, has been appointed vice president of Latin America for GE Energy. Santana is a 10-year executive with GE and since 2009 has been serving as regional leader for Latin America.

Before becoming the regional leader for GE Energy, Santana was the president and CEO for GE Transportation in that same region from 2006 to 2009. In this role, he led a business turn around in Latin America. Prior to that, Santana also led the Off Highway Vehicles division for GE Transportation.

He earned a bachelorís degree in civil engineering from the Universidade Federal De Minas Gerais in Brazil.

Rogerio Patrus, 51, was named a vice president of GE. He remains CEO of Latin America for GE International. Patrus has been responsible for driving growth and sustainability in the region across all GE businesses. He has also built great relationship with governments throughout Latin America.

Prior to becoming the president & CEO of GE Latin America, Patrus was the president and general manager for GE Plastics in Latin America before that business was sold. He has also served as South America General Manager and International Service Manager, both roles at GE Transportation.

Patrus joined GE in 2000 and prior to that he had sales, marketing, BD and operational experience for more than 15 years, holding leadership positions at major Brazilian public service contracting groups.

He earned a bachelorís degree in civil engineering from the Universidade Federal De Minas Gerais in Brazil.
