Solstice Enterprise Web SolutionsToday, Colorado-based software developer Mobile Epiphany announced its partnership with Florida-based software solution provider Solstice Enterprise Software. Solstice will use Mobile’s Epiphany’s field data collection software, Touch Inspect, to create custom asset intelligence solutions primarily for SOCOM (the Special Operations community) but also for a select group of commercial clients.
Touch Inspect is a geospatially intelligent asset inspection and field data collection application that can be configured to meet a variety of military requirements such as situational awareness, supply chain management, reconnaissance, and other areas of asset marking and tracking. The application can locate and track assets by GPS, bar code scan, or RFID while multimedia tools allow users to add detailed visual information to forms and reports. A key advantage for military users is the application’s automatic data sync, which gives soldiers access to data collected in the field in near real time, thus increasing situational awareness.
The two companies see the partnership as an opportunity to target a growing demand within the military space for mobile solutions for the war fighter.
“The military has recently increased their demand for mobile and COTS (Commercial Off-the Shelf) software ten-fold”, said Gavin Packard, Solstice CEO. “The solutions that can be developed using Mobile Epiphany’s software provide mission-critical information when it matters most.”
