COLLOQUY, a global provider of enterprise loyalty publications, education and research, has hired loyalty marketing strategist and executive consultant Jim Sullivan to the position of Partner.

The appointment is designed to fortify COLLOQUY’s continued leadership as the voice of loyalty marketing. Sullivan, who formerly steered marketing, analytics and strategic development for the Retail Services division at Alliance Data Systems Corp., will direct the advancement of enterprise loyalty strategies at COLLOQUY. He also will assist with COLLOQUY’s loyalty workshops, seminars and conferences, and serve as an academic liaison for colleges, universities and thinking institutions performing research on enterprise loyalty.

He will report to Kelly Hlavinka, Managing Partner of COLLOQUY.

Sullivan said the appointment is especially rewarding because he has, throughout his career, relied on COLLOQUY’s advice to deliver more economic value through improved customer loyalty marketing. "Now, with the concept of Enterprise Loyalty, I look forward to helping corporate leaders design loyalty strategies for all key stakeholders, applied directly to their businesses as fully integrated, high-performance systems centered on customer value," he said.

Sullivan worked at Alliance Data from 1997 to 2008, most recently as Chief Marketing and Planning Officer and as a member of the Executive Committee for the Retail Services division. In 2008, he founded his own firm and helped develop BUILT TO LEAD, a leadership development practice in Central Ohio.

Earlier, Sullivan served as Senior Vice President at Information Resources Inc., consulting with such clients as Procter & Gamble, Kraft USA and ConAgra frozen Foods. Jim started his career as a brand marketer at The Quaker Oats Co. in Chicago. He is a resident of Columbus and serves on the Advisory Board of The Initiative for Managing Services at The Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. He also is an MBA-level instructor in Services Marketing at OSU. He and his wife have three children.
