Flexco and other winning companies will be honored by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Oak Brook Marriott.
“We are excited to receive this honor for the third straight year,” said Krista Howland, Flexco human resources manager – North America. “Each and every year, we review our policies and procedures to ensure that our employees are our No. 1 priority, and this recognition reinforces our belief that Flexco is a great place to work.”
An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories, as well as random employee surveys. These categories include: Communication, Community Initiatives, Compensation and Benefits, Diversity and Multiculturalism, Employee Education and Development, Employee Engagement and Commitment, Recognition and Retention, Recruitment and Selection, Small Business, and Work-Life Balance.
Flexco focuses on six major aspects of an employee’s life: Family, Communications, Wellness, Improving Processes, Safety, and Learning. Flexco is also very supportive of the growth and development of its employees, recognizing that professional growth enhances motivation, increases engagement, and can lead to personal and professional satisfaction.
“At Flexco, employees are our best asset and our goal is to recruit and retain great people – those who thrive on challenge and are passionate about making a difference,” said Howland. “We focus on benefits and programs that are comprehensive, offer flexibility, and enhance our employee’s work-life balance.”
The winning 101 companies also vie for 10 elite awards, one granted for each category. An overall winner, who has excelled in all categories, will be honored with a “Best of the Best” award. These award winners will be announced during the luncheon. For information on the awards program, visit 101bestandbrightest.com/.
“The selection, recognition and awarding of this year’s 101 companies allows our organization to showcase their best practices. The honorees have clearly demonstrated why each of them would be an ideal place for employees to work. Companies that capitalize on their greatest resource—their employees—know how to attract and retain top talent,” said Jennifer Kluge, President of NABR.
