Telenity, a leading provider of next generation value added services, messaging, service delivery and mobile marketing solutions, announced today the appointment of Mr. Michael Motta as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering.
Motta is responsible for the development, deployment and support of Telenity’s Canvas converged services products as the head of research and development activities of the company. Motta brings close to 30 years of extensive experience on carrier class telecommunications equipment, high-availability systems, and services development and deployment with emphasis on mobile/wireless platform and infrastructure solutions.

Michael Motta has over 25 years of experience in leadership positions in management, engineering and product management at leading telecommunications equipment and software vendor companies. In one of his recent positions, Motta was Vice President of Engineering at a spinoff from the MIT Media Labs, nTAG Interactive Inc. where he was responsible for all aspects of building and deploying a novel handheld device and services used to facilitate social networking for corporate meetings and events. Previously, Motta held various senior management and founder roles at a number of startup companies building products and services in the secure, on-line payments space with special focus on mobile payments. During the late 1990s, Motta was Vice President of Engineering at ADC Telecommunications Inc., the NewNet Enhanced Services division where he led the development activities for SS7, SMSC, lawful intercept, and other products in the converged networking area. Prior to this, Motta was a senior manager at NMS Communications Inc. with significant accomplishments in the development and worldwide deployment of telecommunications platforms and services with particular emphasis on protocol development and regulatory testing.
Motta has a BS and BA degrees in Linguistics and Mathematics from Georgetown University. He has a passion for building high-performance teams and delivering innovative technology products.
