West Chester, PA, United States, 2010/07/06 - Metabo Corporation has introduced the new 6” WB11-150 Quick Compact Class Angle Grinder with advanced braking technology, making it one of the safest grinders available on the market.
Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced the new 6” WB11-150 Quick Compact Class Angle Grinder with advanced braking technology, making it one of the safest grinders available on the market. When used in conjunction with grinding discs, the brake stops the tool within three seconds, and in less than 1.5 seconds with thin cutting discs.
The WB11-150 Quick features a secure “racket” grip and dual grip zones for comfortable, ergonomic handling and additional user safety. The tool’s anti-vibration handle absorbs up to 60% of the vibration, lowering the risk of white finger syndrome.
Other safety features including a toolless guard adjustment with seven stops, a spindle lock and an “S-Automatic” safety slip clutch to help protect the operator from kickback by absorbing the torque created if the wheel should bind or snag.
The WB11-150 Quick includes a sonically-balanced fan for optimum cooling and increased air flow over the motor. The double-lipped labyrinth sealed bearings, unique dust-deflecting winding protection grid and epoxy coated windings also protect the motor and other essential components from harmful dust and debris, extending the motor life up to five times that of competitive models.
Weighing just 6.25 lbs, the WB11-150 has an aluminum die-cast gear housing and features a long-lasting 9.6 A motor with 1,100 watts of power, 29.2 inch-lbs of torque and a no-load speed of 9,000 RPM. The tool also features a Quick toolless wheel change system that saves time when replacing wheels for increased operator efficiency.
