Saltash, Cornwall, United Kingdom, 2010/06/09 - Blue Chip, a national technology services, solutions, training and outsourcing company, have designed a Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 'Foundation' course as an introduction to the product.
Companies considering upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics Navision 2009 will be able to make an informed decision courtesy of a series of one-day courses being hosted by Blue Chip.
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 'Foundation' course, which will be held in both Southampton and Leeds, has been designed by Blue Chip as an introduction to Dynamics NAV 2009.
It is suitable for current Microsoft Dynamics NAV users who either utilise the complete application or just one area.
In addition, the course will be a useful tool for anyone considering short listing Microsoft Dynamics NAV as a potential replacement for their current application or those looking to improve their understanding and knowledge of the product.
The 2009 release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV preserves the features that makes the application popular with its one million users worldwide, yet brings with it useful improvements.
From financial, manufacturing, supply chain management, sales and marketing, project management, human resources, and services management, information from across organisations can be stored in a centralised database allowing employees to work quickly and effectively.
NAV 2009 makes better use of the features in Microsoft SQL Server, users can analyse data and create insightful reports more easily and, through the role tailored client, can harness the power of reporting services.
Blue Chip's one-day 'Foundation' course will provide a general induction to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, including the layout and principles used throughout the application.
Also included is a preface to basic Dynamics navigation such as structure of the menus, items on the navigation bar, filtering, symbols and icons, as well as introductions to four key areas - financials, purchasing, sales and inventory.
Costing £95 per delegate, including all courseware, refreshments and lunch, the 'Foundation' course is an ideal opportunity for individuals and companies to gain a knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV without the sales pitch.
Anthony Clark, commercial manager of Blue Chip, said: "Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 has some great new features including a role based user experience.
"This allows individual users the ability to hide 90 per cent of the features they do not need to see and promotes the actions and information they do depending on their job role.
"Many Dynamics NAV users we talk to are unsure of what is available to them in 2009. Our course will give them the detailed information they need and allow them to schedule their upgrade at the right time for their business."
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 'Foundation' course will take place at Blue Chip's Training Centre in Southampton on Friday, June 11, Tuesday, June 22 and Thursday, July 8.
Dates for the Leeds courses will be published soon.
