It's an age-old problem for exhibit designers — how to get "10 pounds of product into a 5 pound exhibit." MC² designers Brian Baker and Ethan Hostetler will tackle the challenge head-on in their seminar "Product-Heavy Exhibits — Designing Clutter Free Brand Experiences" scheduled for Wednesday, June 16 at 4 pm as part of this year's Event Design Summit.
As industry veterans, Baker and Hostetler know that the designers attending the summit have all been faced with meeting the demands of multiple product managers while trying to maintain the company's overall brand identity. In their 45-minute interactive session, they will present real-life scenarios that are planned to engage attendees, stimulate participation and provide a framework for applying the information after the conference.
"We have all been faced with 10 stakeholders who each want 25% of the booth for their products," Baker said. Hostetler added, "We've got some hands-on tips and tricks to help get everyone on the same page and the design working hard for the brand which is the goal for any exhibit."
Brian Baker, the design director for MC² Atlanta office, has designed exhibits and environments for many high-profile clients including Coca-Cola, Intel, Best Buy, The Home Depot, FedEx, Anheuser Busch, Nokia, Philips, Michelin, Volvo, The Weather Channel, State Farm, and The Atlanta Braves. Ethan Hostetler is a senior designer at MC² Atlanta and a graduate of The University of the Arts – Philadelphia, who has worked as an environmental graphic designer, a graphic and standards manual designer and an exhibit designer. His projects include Alcatel-Lucent at World Mobile Congress, Verizon at CES, Volvo Construction Equipment at Con Expo, The Home Depot at the International Builders Show and Bethesda Softworks at E3.
The Event Design Summit will be held at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street in New York City June 15-17. Registration information and seminar schedule are available at eventdesignsummit.com.
