TechRadar recorded 1,044,480 UK unique users in May 2010, a massive 186% year-on-year increase*. TechRadar’s recent success and growth in traffic has been fuelled by the launch of powerful products like Apple’s iPad and the HTC Desire smartphone.
TechRadar (techradar.com) is the UK’s number one consumer technology news and reviews site, overtaking its competitors, including CNET UK (cnet.co.uk) and TrustedReviews (trustedreviews.com), at the start of 2010 according to web traffic analysts at UKOM and DoubleClick. Figures also revealed that TechRadar continued to grow its international influence, chalking up 2.8m unique users worldwide in May 2010.
Future launched TechRadar in May 2008 and has focused on shaping the consumer tech news agenda, as well as featuring a wealth of product reviews and though-provoking features, including content created jointly with the company’s market-leading Computing and AV portfolio, including MacFormat, PC Plus and Home Cinema Choice.
Stuart Anderton, Publishing Director of Future’s Computing and AV portfolio, said: “In the last year TechRadar has stamped on the accelerator of growth, catching the wave of exciting new tech products in a way our rivals simply haven’t managed to. With launches like the iPad and the growth of 3D TV we now have a great springpad for the hectic Christmas quarter,”
Future continues to develop the TechRadar brand, launching its first foray into print next month. The special TechRadar Phone Buying Guide goes on sale Tuesday, 6th July – with a coverprice of £7.99. The 132-page magazine guides readers through the wealth of smartphones available on the high street, offering impartial advice and reviews from the UK’s number one consumer technology news and reviews website.
