Embraer has signed a contract with LOT Polish Airlines to convert four EMBRAER 175 firm orders to the EMBRAER 195 model. In the fourth quarter of 2007, the Polish airline placed an additional firm order for 12 EMBRAER 175 jets (at that time, the company operated six EMBRAER 170s and four EMBRAER 175s). Four aircraft were delivered in 2009 and four will be delivered by the end of this year. The four remaining jets were converted into firm orders for EMRBAER 195s, and the deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2011. The airline also holds two options and ten purchase rights for the EMRBAER 175.
“LOT’s selection of the EMBRAER 195 is testimony of the airline’s confidence in our E-Jets family,” said Paulo César de Souza e Silva, Embraer Executive Vice President, Airline Market. “Sharing more than an 86 percent commonality with the EMBRAER 170 and EMBRAER 175, the EMBRAER 195 will continue meeting LOT’s stringent requirements for cost efficiency and high levels of comfort and functionality.”
LOT Polish Airlines was the first operator of the E-Jets family in Europe, flying out of its Warsaw hub with the EMBRAER 170, in March 2004. The EMBRAER 195, the largest of the four-member E-Jets family, will complement the airline’s existing fleet of ten EMBRAER 170s (four leased) and ten EMBRAER 175s (two leased), expanding its European route network and replacing its narrowbody aircraft. The jets will be configured in a comfortable dual-class cabin layout with 112 seats.
“The E-Jets family is a pivotal element in our business plan to rationalize fleet development and to support our network expansion from the Warsaw hub,” said Sebastian Mikosz, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. “The EMBRAER 195, with the right seat capacity, will be used on our European network, enabling us to benefit from the E-Jets commonality to improve profits.”

About the EMBRAER 170/190 E-Jets family
The EMBRAER 170/190 family of E-Jets consists of four commercial jets with 70 to 122 seats, featuring advanced engineering design, efficient performance, outstanding operating economics, low emission levels and a spacious cabin.
The E-Jets have a maximum cruising speed of Mach 0.82, can fly at 41,000 feet (12,497 meters) and have ranges of up to 2,400 nautical miles (4,448 km). The high degree of commonality among the four aircraft – EMBRAER 170, EMBRAER 175, EMBRAER 190 and EMBRAER 195 – results in exceptional savings for carriers, in terms of crew training and costs of spare parts and maintenance. Another key feature of the E-Jets is the state-of-the- art, fly-by-wire technology, which increases operating safety, while reducing pilot workload and fuel consumption.
The double-bubble fuselage design provides superior comfort and includes two main passenger entrances and two service doors, thus minimizing aircraft turn-around time. The EJets offer much more space for passengers, in a single or dual-class layout, than other aircraft with similar seating capacities. For more details, visit EmbraerCommercialJets.com/.
The E-Jets have achieved outstanding success, with nearly 900 firm orders logged and over 620 jets in operation, worldwide. They have accumulated more than 3.7 million flight hours and transported 200 million passengers. This proven family is helping airlines to rightsize low load factor narrowbody routes, replace older, inefficient aircraft, and develop new markets with lower operating costs, greater efficiency, and outstanding passenger comfort.
