London, United Kingdom, 2010/05/05 - Stephanie Lvovich, Firm's Global Food, Consumer Products Practice Leader, named Executive Director in Europe, the Middle East, Africa. Razi Rahman appointed Deputy Managing Director of London Office.
APCO Worldwide today named Stephanie Lvovich executive director for the firm's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, Brad Staples, chief executive officer for APCO in EMEA, announced. Lvovich will focus on business development for the region and will also continue to lead APCO's global food and consumer products practice from London. Razi Rahman, APCO's head of public affairs in the UK, will assume the role of deputy managing director of the firm's London office.

Lvovich has 16 years of public affairs and political research experience. She specializes in providing strategic counsel to corporations and trade associations on positioning around important issues. Prior to joining APCO, where until recently she served as deputy managing director of the London office, Lvovich was managing director for European public affairs at Citigate GCG in London and Brussels. She also worked for European Public Policy Advisers (EPPA), where she was the head of the media group. She began her career in Moscow as public affairs director for U.S. consultancy CIS Strategies.

Rahman brings significant public affairs expertise and, along with Walsh, will help further develop APCO's integrated communication offer in the UK. Rahman will also maintain his position as head of public affairs in the UK, where he has been leading APCO's activities around the General Election, lending insights and intelligence to APCO's clients globally and providing news, analysis and commentary via APCO's Virtual Vantage Points blog and a Twitter feed (twitter.com/UKelection2010).
Prior to joining APCO Worldwide, Rahman worked for seven years at 10 Downing Street as assistant political secretary to Prime Minister Tony Blair, advising him on political, policy and legislative matters. In this role, he was responsible for the political management of contentious issues and legislation, working closely with Ministers, civil servants and special advisers across government departments and liaising on behalf of the Prime Minister with Members of Parliament and other key stakeholders. He also served as the Prime Minister's principal adviser on community relations. Rahman is a qualified solicitor and previously worked for law firms Harbottle & Lewis and Slaughter and May.
