New York, NY, United States, 2006/07/18 - Solegy LLC, a leading provider of managed service delivery solutions, today announced that Millennium Global Telecom (MGT) has chosen to use its managed prepaid calling card solution and service delivery platform.
MGT, Canada's largest pre-paid calling card company, will migrate all of its current TDM traffic to Solegy's ServicePDQ platform. The migration is scheduled to occur in several phases, starting in the 3rd quarter of 2006.
The move will allow MGT to streamline its operations and pave the way for exciting new services based on IP and IMS. Immediate benefits include the ability to streamline provisioning and customer service with Web portals that enable agents and distributor self-care, and the power to dynamically adjust traffic allocation to maintain high quality of service over VoIP routes.
Mike Reynolds, President of MGT, said that, "On top of all the additional features, this move allows us to grow the business with much greater flexibility. By migrating to a 100% softswitched environment we can add capacity on the fly in small incremental units. Plus, the fact that it's completely hosted by Solegy means that capital can be put to more productive uses, rather than being tied up in TDM network equipment. In addition, Solegy's fanatical second-level support to our contact center agents is simply first rate."
According to Eric Hernaez, Solegy CEO, "This news is exciting because it opens the door for MGT to introduce innovative new services. The market for plain vanilla calling cards is very competitive. Offering new services as a differentiating factor is strategically important to all calling card operators. We believe that this decision places MGT at the leading edge of the market."
