Farmington, CT, United States, 2010/04/13 - Keiler & Company, a full service marketing agency, announced today that it has joined the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA as its Agency of Record.
Keiler will be assisting one of the league’s most successful franchises with print, collateral, broadcast and digital advertising, publicity, web design and social media.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work in the sports marketing category with such an excellent team, both on the court and in the front offices. It’s fast-paced, but a lot of fun at the same time,” states Lynn Taylor, managing partner at Keiler & Company.
The Connecticut Sun selected Keiler after an RFP process that involved several other Connecticut agencies. The agency was chosen because of its strength in the interactive and social media space.
“We were looking for an agency that could act as an extension of our organization and move it forward in the digital arena,” says Connecticut Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko. “During the RFP process, Keiler exuded enthusiasm about our business and showcased an enormous amount of talent, which made the selection process easy.”
The Connecticut Sun is the first independently owned franchise in WNBA history, and is also the first professional sports team in the United States to be owned by Native Americans. Originally the Orlando Miracle, the team was purchased by the Mohegan Tribe in 2003 and has become one of the most successful franchises in the league. The Sun will open their eighth season in Uncasville, Conn. on May 15, 2010, hosting the Chicago Sky at Mohegan Sun Arena.
