Panda Security, the Cloud Security Company, today announced it has been recognized by Everything Channel as one of North America’s top information technology vendors for its partner program. The Panda Security partner program, which centers around its channel made cloud security solutions, was recognized with a five-star rating in Everything Channel’s 16th annual 2010 Partner Program Guide (PPG). This elite ranking distinguishes Panda for its commitment and strength of its program and innovation for reseller partners, which include IT integrators, technology solutions providers and consultants serving small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
This honor builds on several independent awards that Panda Security has recently won for its ongoing commitment to the channel and product innovation. Last month, Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine named Panda Cloud Protection one of the "20 Coolest Cloud Computing Security Products", and U.S. President Rick Carlson was named a CRN Channel Chief for his progress in advancing effective channel partner programs and strategies within the company. In addition, CRN also recently recognized Panda Security CEO Juan Santana as one of the 25 most innovative executives of 2009 for the company's leadership in cloud security for SMBs and their solution providers.
Panda Security utilizes the industry’s most mature cloud technology to deliver a unified product portfolio for endpoint, email and Internet security that ensures instantaneous protection against malware while maximizing reseller profitability. Resellers benefit from Panda’s low total cost of management, best-in-class remote servicing capabilities, and flexible licensing model that helps them scale their businesses quickly. In addition, the world-class partner program offers unique benefits to resellers including deal registration, healthy margins, incumbency protection, marketing, and training support.
Recognizing that the security-as-a-service (SaaS) model was uniquely suited for SMBs with tighter resources and increasingly distributed workforces, Panda Security was the first company to deliver core product capabilities as a service through the cloud in 2005. Since making this significant go-to market strategy change and dedicating its SMB sales initiatives 100 percent to the channel, Panda Security has experienced rapid growth in its hosted cloud security services. In 2009, Panda Security grew its worldwide revenues from its Corporate Cloud/SaaS Division by 122 percent, quadrupling the industry average growth rate for SaaS. This momentum demonstrates strong demand among SMBs and their solution providers for lightweight cloud security services that are significantly easier and less expensive to manage compared to traditional software alternatives.
Research for the 2010 Everything Channel Partner Program Guide and the Five-Star Partner Program rating was conducted by Everything Channel’s research department. Everything Channel analyzed 130 vendor programs rating vendors’ responses to in-depth questions about their partner programs in the five elements of sales support, partner profitability, partner ecosystem development/management, partner communication/marketing, and demand generation. To ensure fair comparisons, companies were placed in one of four categories based on company size (Enterprise, Midsize, Small and Emerging). The Five-Star Partner Program rating recognizes the elite subset of Partner Program Guide vendors who give solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs.
“We are pleased to deliver to the Channel an exclusive list of the leading vendor channel programs with details about key technologies, program opportunities, and information on the hottest new program offerings,” said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel. “The quality of a technology vendor’s partner program determines how profitable its partners will be. For their commitment to their business partners and their efforts to build quality programs, we congratulate those recognized as this year’s Five-Star Partner Program winners for helping to drive greater revenue in the channel.”
“Resellers are the heart and soul of our business, and recognition by Everything Channel for our unique mix of product innovation and partner benefits is validation that Panda’s 100 percent channel commitment sets a new standard,” said Rick Carlson, president of US operations, Panda Security. “Panda’s leadership in cloud security in particular continues to be very attractive to VARs, who are now able to serve exponentially more clients with less overhead and time out of the office. There are plenty of partner programs out there that offer competitive perks, but we’re the only security company whose cloud product portfolio was designed to help resellers transform their businesses.”
The PPG list and those companies recognized as five-star will appear in the March 29 issue of CRN magazine and online.
