Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 2010/03/25 - Ideaca Knowledge Services and TXT e-solutions announced today that HDS Retail North America, has selected TXT e-solutions’ TXTPERFORM2008 to strengthen their consumer driven strategy.
Ideaca Knowledge Services and TXT e-solutions announced today that HDS Retail North America, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lagardère Services, the world's largest travel retailer has selected TXT e-solutions’ TXTPERFORM2008 to strengthen their consumer driven strategy. The solution is part of TXT’s Supply Chain Management suite which will help HDS support the planning and replenishment processes of its 350 stores. TXTPERFORM2008 will be implemented by Ideaca, TXT’s preferred partner for the Retail market in Canada. Ideaca is a Gold Certified Microsoft partner who is currently supporting HDS with its strategic technology change and IT consolidation plans.

TXTPERFORM2008 was chosen due to better functionality compared with other vendors, a better understanding of business processes, as well as the Microsoft technology used within the solution; complementing HDS’ long term Microsoft strategy. This will further enable HDS to move away from a fragmented and costly technology infrastructure and reduce TCO. Additional expectations from the project include increase in product availability, an improvement in margins and a significant reduction in the number of catalogue items.
TXTPERFORM2008 will be pivotal in supporting HDS’ strategy to move from a centrally orchestrated replenishment model to providing assortment at store levels across America. Specifically, the solution will provide the ability to support a blended replenishment model for both longstanding products as well as those with considerably shorter shelf life. The scalability of the solution will easily cover the 350 stores and 150,000 items supplied by several supply chains.
