Called Business Impact Leadership, it is designed to equip mid-level mangers with the leadership skills they need today.
Market data indicates almost 50% of global organisations rate their mid-level managers as fair or poor. 44% of senior leaders identify ineffective middle management as the single greatest barrier to achieving company objectives, while 30% believe their organisation is paralysed by ineffective middle management.
According to DDI, lack of confidence and skills within mid-level management could hold the key to the negative perceptions of more senior leaders. Research carried out by the firm suggests that only one in four mid-level leaders think they themselves are doing a very effective job.
