Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, 2010/03/07 - PR Link Online PR today announced service in Beta allowing users to send up to three press releases to 500 high professional media users of social media. 2000 users will be accepted into the Beta test which concludes May 15 for June 15 launch.
Today PR Link Australia, Austalian based PR engine, launched a social media release service for free targeted at users seeking only quality mentions on the social platforms and no spam like broadcasts.
Editor Dan Callum said today, "Many of our industry peers in PR and Marketing have been been impressed with offering like Muck Rack and we wanted to take that experience a step further. We don't compete with the big release broadcasters as we focus on quality content and outlets even if that's at the expense of reach and frequency. We've got a team of 3 senior ex-journalists working on the editorial oversight and content checking and they have 5 support staff with excellent tools to handle modestly heavy loads as we expect a significant uptake from the first 2000 users"
"To target the press release messages we decided the best approach was to court and cultivate 500 journalists, professional bloggers, and high quality and volume users of social media and we've worked with them to set the ground rules allowing them total editorial independence even though they are obtaining a benefit from the links and association with our release clients."
"We think we've got the model right and our initial testing showed the average distributor of a quality Social Media Press Release can now expect between 10-45 quality one-way links and social bookmarks for free. It's pretty cool when you look at it like that."
The traditional press release service side is still available however we think increasingly more people will be sending Social Media press releases very soon at much higher ratios. The trend is strong and the conversion and growth of Facebook and Linkedin mean the PR industry must adapt to the new audiences and channels.
This Beta period will provide an excellent data pool to make improvements on over the next 3mths before a full commercial grade product will be added in June 2010.
Free Social Media Releases are an addition to PR Link Australia's current SearchWhale product suite (see link at end of release) and testing is continuing to ensure the product is operating a peak efficiency refinements will be made each day going forward from 8 March 2010 until the June launch of the final product application that will also be accessible via Smart Phone.
