Leipzig based furniture retailer (smow) was announced Friday as an official partner of the new Vitra VitraHaus in Weil am Rhein
Designed by Basel based architects Herzog and de Meuron the VitraHaus is the latest addition to the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein and represents the first new building on the Vitra site since 1993. Created as a permanent base for the "Vitra Home Collection", the furnishings and objects from the Vitra Home Collection are arranged within the VitraHaus in a variety of settings. In each setting designer furniture classics by Charles & Ray Eames, George Nelson or Isamu Noguchi are combined with works by contemporary designers such as Maarten Van Severen, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec or Hella Jongerius.
In addition to testing the furniture visitors can also order or request further information on products and product ranges.
Every room in the VitraHaus contains a computer terminal where visitors can access the Vitra Digital Catalogue. During the course of their visit visitors can compile wishlists of articles that they like and automatically send the wishlist to (smow).
As official VitraHaus partner, (smow) will then help and assist the customers with their purchase or provide extra information and advice regarding the Vitra Home Collection range.
