Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom, 2006/06/21 - Embarcadero Technologies announces appointment of Jaywant Singh Rao as vice president (VP) of EMEA - Embarcadero.com.
Embarcadero Technologies, Inc (Nasdaq: EMBT), a leading strategic data management (SDM) solutions provider, announced today that Jaywant Singh Rao has been appointed as the new vice president (VP) of EMEA. Jaywant, previously the VP of Worldwide Field Solution Services at Embarcadero, brings a wealth of management expertise in engineering, consulting, and sales to Embarcadero’s EMEA operations.
Jaywant’s focus will be leveraging his breadth of experience to expand Embarcadero’s EMEA presence and meet high demand for its solutions. Jaywant will head up all European operations including sales, consulting, and customer service. One of his first objectives will be to build on Embarcadero’s European base by increasing its regional footprint and service. He will also work closely with existing customers and partners to ensure satisfaction and growth.
“Explosive growth in enterprise data, focus on value-driven IT, and concerns about data security are all key issues for corporate IT departments. With our data architecture, availability, and security solutions, Embarcadero is well positioned to help organisations combat those challenges,” commented Jaywant. “We are seeing significant demand for our solutions in Europe and I see an attractive opportunity to continue our current trend of year on year growth.”
To continue to meet the high interest in its products and services, Embarcadero has recently opened an office in Munich, Germany and has plans for further investment across Europe.
Jaywant concludes: “There is a burgeoning need to educate management about the potential legal and financial consequences of inadequate data strategies. Current and forthcoming EMEA legislation such as the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) should be driving European business leaders to respond or they will lose valuable ground to the American, APAC and BRIC markets that are investing considerably in data management.”
Before working at Embarcadero, Jaywant was at Oracle Corporation where he held management, engineering and field sales positions. He also held executive and engineering roles at both Critical Path, a global provider of email and messaging software and services, and Slam Dunk Networks, a privately held managed network service company.
