Enjoy-a-Ball franchisees Sharon and Gary Bassett are ending the year on a high celebrating the Home Office of the Year Award 2009. The Home Business Awards were held on 20th November at BT Centre in London on the UK’s first ever Home Enterprise Day, which also marked the launch of the 2009 Home Business Report.
Sharon and Gary run Enjoy-a-Ball sports coaching classes for children aged 2 ½ to 9 years in Chester, Ellesmere Port, Wrexham and Mold.
Sharon said, “This national award means a lot to us. We made a career change into self-employment, from senior management to working with children, to be able to do the things we love every day. Our biggest goal is for children to enjoy learning and playing sport in a positive and creative environment and to do this we believe that we have to create the right working and learning environment for ourselves, too.
We’ve achieved recognition for our business this year as a winner at the Flintshire Business Awards (Women Into Business category) and runner-up in the Remote Worker Awards (The Open University Skills category). Winning the Home Office of the Year Award at the UK’s first ever Home Enterprise day is the ultimate icing on the cake for us!”
Emma Jones, Founder and Editor of Enterprise Nation, the home business website, said, “Congratulations to Gary and Sharon Bassett who are this year’s winners of the Home Office of the Year Award. Together they run a very successful franchise business.”
