Palo Alto Networks™, the leader in next-generation firewalls, today announced that it has been selected to present at Interop New York 2009, being held Nov.16 – 20 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The company is also exhibiting at the event, in booth number 722.
Nir Zuk, security industry expert and Palo Alto Networks co-founder and CTO, will present “What's Wrong with the WAN Firewall?” in the Networking Track on Nov. 20 at 10:15 am. Attendees will learn of the limitations of the traditional WAN firewall and identify what functionality firewalls need to implement to overcome these limitations.
“Interop prides itself on its ability to leverage industry expertise to achieve its goal of educating attendees in a number of important networking industry sectors, including network security,” said Interop General Manager Lenny Heymann. “As part of the conference’s networking track, we are pleased to have Nir Zuk of Palo Alto Networks participating in this year’s event.”
Palo Alto Networks will also be exhibiting at the event this year, and demonstrating its latest next-generation firewall, in booth number 722. Attendees will be able to obtain copies of the just-published Application Usage and Risk Report – Fall 2009 Edition.
Mr. Zuk is considered an industry authority in network security throughout the world. Prior to co-founding Palo Alto Networks, Mr. Zuk was CTO at NetScreen Technologies, which was acquired by Juniper Networks in 2004. Prior to NetScreen, Mr. Zuk was co-founder and CTO at OneSecure, a pioneer in intrusion prevention and detection appliances. Mr. Zuk was also a principal engineer at Check Point Software Technologies and was one of the developers of stateful inspection technology.
