Omega Environmental Technologies is a world-wide manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket mobile air conditioning parts.
“I’m happy to have this opportunity to work with the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation and to provide its members with some useful information about air conditioning basics,” Montgomery said. “You have to truly understand the basics in order to troubleshoot any unobvious problem with most vehicle air conditioning systems.”
The workshop will cover refrigerant flow, heat transfer, the nature of hydroscopic oils, psychrometrics and proper system charge determination. There will also be a brief discussion on pressure switches, relays and other control devices.
Since 2002, Montgomery has served as chief engineer at Omega. He previously served seven years as chief engineer for ACME Radiator & A/C in Kansas City and as project engineer with ARA Manufacturing. He earned his BSME from The University of Texas at Arlington.
In addition to Montgomery’s workshop, Omega will have representatives available in the exhibit hall at the South Padre Island Convention Center at booth 307.
The Texas Association of Pupil Transportation promotes safe and efficient transportation for public school students throughout Texas.
