Stillwater, OK, United States, 10/12/2009 - Mike Moore of Shermco Industries will present an electrical training seminar to members of the Oklahoma Predictive Maintenance Users Group.

Mike Moore, sales manager for the Engineering Services Division of Shermco Industries, will present a session titled “Electrical Training for the Qualified Electrical Worker” at the Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater, Okla. Oct. 22.
Hosted by the Oklahoma Predictive Maintenance Users Group, the training will benefit electricians, HVAC and field service technicians, and others who perform energized electrical work in industrial or commercial facilities. Using a combination of lecture and hands-on lab sessions, the training course will consist of practical and intensive instruction designed to meet the mandated OSHA safety training requirements.
Safety topics which will be covered include:
• Hazards of Electricity;
• 2009 NFPA 70E (Articles 110 through 130);
• Hazard and PPE Assessments;
• HotWork Permits and Safety;
• Electrical One-Line Diagrams.
“The course will focus on practical applications of OSHA regulations, rather than just explaining them,” said Moore. “Topics will be taught from the standpoint of field experience so that attendees can identify potentially hazardous situations on the job and gain the skills needed to strengthen safe work practices.”
