Marshfield, MA, United States, 2009/09/30 - Conduit network of more than 200,000 web publishers & 60 million users will select winners for $15,000 in cash and prizes - Conduit.com.
Conduit, the company enabling web publishers to distribute their offerings directly and through its global network of publishers, today announced the first “Conduit Awards” to honor creative development of components and applications that can be shared in the Conduit Marketplace. Using the Conduit Marketplace, any online publisher or developer can distribute content, gadgets and applications (called “conduits”) to more than 200,000 publishers and their 60 million users that are part of the Conduit Network. In addition to the distribution opportunity, the company will be giving away more than $15,000 in cash and prizes to the best conduits in eight categories from around the world.
Since its launch in June of 2009, the Conduit Marketplace (conduit.com) has become the world's largest and most updated resource for content that can be shared across community toolbars. To date, thousands of conduits have been added to the Marketplace and distributed on hundreds of thousands of community toolbars. Fox News, 5min.com Fitness, iWin, and Seeking Alpha are among the web publishers distributing everything from news feeds and games to video players and social media tools in the Conduit Marketplace.
As part of the company’s open strategy, it has created the Conduit Awards to encourage the development of innovative and compelling conduits in the Marketplace. “We built the Conduit Platform to be open and flexible so that developers and content providers can leverage our huge network to distribute their components,” said Adam Boyden. “Now we are inviting any web publisher or developer to use our intuitive platform and get exposure to millions of users in a few easy steps.”
