Softec, a Central Coast non-profit Software and Technology Association, will hold its 13th Annual Symposium & Vendor Expo on the twenty-fifth of September at the Embassy Suites Hotel in San Luis Obispo. This year’s theme is Green Technology & How It Affects Business, and the cost of attendance is fifty-five dollars.
President of the Softec Board, Hillary Trout, says Softec is excited to present this year’s symposium to area businesspeople. “This is a dynamic and engaging event that will feature discussions on the latest green technologies that enable your company to be more sustainable and improve your bottom line,” Trout says.
The symposium’s keynote address will be delivered by Erik Justesen, CEO of RRM Design Group, and will highlight green and energy-efficient construction methods and the technology behind these advancements. Additional presentations on cloud computing and the changing cost model in IT will be presented by Kyle Weins, the CEO of iFixIt, a do-it-yourself Mac and iPod repair company, and Russ Levanway, CEO of TekTegrity IT Strategies and Management.
In addition, Softec will host two expert-led discussion panels on the business benefits of different types of green technology trends. Vendors from various industries will preside over booths in the symposium’s vendor area where they will present industry innovations and useful information.
Softec would like to thank our event sponsors, including Morris & Garritano, DigitalWest Networks, CallAmerica, and tw telecom.
