After learning earlier this season that it would be presented with a Golden Hammer award in the electrical category, Leviton Manufacturing Company strode away from this year’s National Hardware Show held on May 5th with a surprise windfall. The company was also called to the stage at the awards ceremony to pick up the Golden Hammer Quality Award. The Golden Hammer Quality Award recognizes the highest level of total quality that reduces returns and increases the dealer's customer satisfaction.
"Tonight we honor the best of our industry, as chosen by peers and partners," said Jeff Arlen, publisher of Home Channel News, the yearly awards sponsor. "The recipients of tonight's awards have written the playbook of success."
“This is indeed an honor as Leviton was not only selected the winner in the electrical category but also selected among all vendors within the home improvement industry to receive the Quality Award, said Carol Lynch, Vice President of Retail Marketing and Sales for Leviton. ”On behalf of the Leviton staff, I would like to express our appreciation to our retail and dealer partners for presenting us with these awards.”
“I don't have to tell anyone in this room that we are having a challenging year, but as all of you are aware, challenges can be turned into opportunities with aggressive, perceptive strategies, innovation and follow-up implementation," Arlen said.
Now in its 25th year, the Golden Hammer awards are presented annually to an elite group of suppliers who exemplify the “gold standard” of commitment to the Retail community through their dedication to driving retailer sales, marketing and partnership efforts. In receiving first place recognition in the electrical category, Leviton (leviton.com) outperformed more than 20 other electrical products suppliers in the hardware and tools/supplies category.
