Austin, TX, United States, 05/26/2009 – Shermco Industries, a leading provider of rotating machinery testing, repairing and remanufacturing as well as power systems maintenance and electrical damage restoration services, has been ranked first on the Austin Business Journal’s list of Best Places to Work for 2009.
The prestigious distinction was earned by being the top-scoring business in an employee survey administered by the Austin Business Journal. The list ranks local companies with the best climate, atmosphere and engaged employees. Out of the more than 150 nominees, 50 winners were selected in three categories -- small, medium and large employers. With 13 technicians and three office administrators at the Austin location, Shermco won the top spot under the classification of small companies, that is, those with 10 to 15 local employees.
“This recognition is a tribute to the entire Shermco team,” said Kevin Ewing, Austin regional manager. “Our employees represent the best in the industry, and our success is only possible with their hard work and dedication.”
The Best Places to Work companies were announced in the May 22 edition of the Austin Business Journal. In its description of Shermco, the publication noted, "The Austin office of this Dallas-based company keeps its A-list clientele satisfied by focusing on its most powerful resource – its employees.”
