DSA - Debt Settlement America, established in 2004, was the first debt settlement company to be accredited by The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC). To be acknowledged by TASC as Accredited, the company is measured against nationally recognized standards and must prove via an extensive audit process performed by a third party that they conduct business with the highest level of integrity, quality and service.
DSA has continually demonstrated a distinguished level of excellence through educating consumers on their options, providing quality customer service to our clients throughout their settlement program and negotiating their debts to a manageable balance that the client can afford and the creditor accepts as payment in full. As further evidence of DSA’s standard of excellence, two of Debt Settlement America’s staff members were awarded top honors at this year’s TASC Annual Conference. With record setting numbers in attendance, DSA Counsel, Wesley Young was awarded the TASC Executive Board Member of the Year award. Lacey Stephen, DSA’s Compliance & Quality Manager, was awarded the TASC At-Large Board Member of the Year.
In addition to his position at DSA, Wesley Young serves as the Legislative Director for TASC. Among many other responsibilities within this role, he manages representation of the industry in more than 20 states and manages the lobbying efforts to promote fair legislation that protects consumers while allowing debt settlement businesses to operate. Lacey Stephen has been on the TASC Board at Large since its conception in early 2007. She has served on multiple committees throughout her tenure, one of which being the Conference Committee. Each year, the Conference Committee has broken the previous year’s record for attendees at the Annual Conference.
