Barton Willmore will contribute extensive masterplanning and urban design experience in international markets to the collaboration, with particular emphasis on new settlements, urban renewal and extensions, mixed use planning and public realm design – which will be known as Bwi:Neilsoft.
Neilsoft will bring local knowledge, engineering skills, technical expertise and documentation skills, allowing the joint venture to offer a combination of international and local knowledge to each project and client.
Nick Sweet, project director and Partner at Barton Willmore’s London office commented: “We are very excited about the prospect of extending our established working relationship with Neilsoft. Through this new partnership we are able to combine a wealth of expertise and knowledge for the benefit of our clients. The partnership also extends our ideas about sustainable development, particularly through working with local experts. This deepens our understanding of a place and its people and promotes reinvestment in local economies.”
“India is developing rapidly and Barton Willmore is looking to bring the experience gained in the UK as well as regions such as China, Russia and the Middle East to this exciting market.”
Mr. Ketan Bakshi, Managing Director of Neilsoft said “The Bwi:Neilsoft cooperation will result in a choice that brings fresh thinking, speed, scale, integrated engineering infrastructure thinking, and extraordinary concepts in masterplanning to the fore”. He continued “Barton Willmore’s experience and work speaks for itself and it stands out. Developers and Township Planners will recognize the value & marketability of their work and commission us to develop sustainable masterplans & designs which truly stand out.”
