Sky Transfers announced its new expansion program to cover some 3 million households, which aims to “provide travellers with a cheap and convenient option for travelling…from home or office to Stansted Airport” from May 1st 2009.
According to Sky Transfers Public Relations Director Nina Bland, the Airport Shuttle, door to door service, will be a more convenient alternative to other modes of transportation, such as, the Airport Bus, Coach and Train services.
“Our shuttle is far more convenient as well as easier because it collects you from your door step and goes directly to Stansted Airport, from Essex, East London, North London and Hertfordshire, the alternative to our shuttle, is waiting at a bus stop, probably in the rain and wind with all your luggage and the kids, only to find it could arrive already full” Nina Bland said. “Because we go straight to our designated bus stop at Stansted Airport Coach station, there is no confusion about where you need to get off.”
Reservations for the shuttle, which will go on sale both online and by phone, 0844 482 4575 on April 28th, will cost only £52 return for a family of 4, far cheaper than the new airport 2 hourly coach service. The shuttle times are available online and leave every hour.
This expansion comes a year after the introduction of The Stansted Shuttle in the south of Essex, our policy aims to reduce carbon emissions and road usage to and from Stansted Airport by 85%, which is the average attained by families using this service.
Unfortunately to many people still drive or get driven, to the airport, a real concern for those of us who are trying to reduce our carbon footprints, “We believe it really matter for future generations that we do all we can. By using The Stansted Shuttle, with its commitment to reducing the size of air traveller’s carbon footprints you can help too.” Bland said. “Especially when we hear of the damage that we are doing to the atmosphere. There is an urgent need to find a way to solve these issues, alternatives such as taxi can be expensive and do not help that much in reducing carbon footprints therefore, it makes sense to use our cost effective, low emission service to get to the airport.”
The SKY TRANSFERS Airport Shuttle Service will provide travellers with a cheap and convenient option for travelling to from campus to Stansted Airport.
The SKY TRANSFERS Airport Shuttle will pick up holidaymakers and business travellers from their homes and offices and drop them off at Stansted Airport, bay 31. Sky Transfers would like to emphasize that reservations will sell out quickly given their limited supply. Sky Transfers encourages all travellers who need to travel to the Stansted airport to consider reserving their seats as soon as possible. As an incentive to book early, all bookings for at least a month in advance, get a 5% discount.
Reservations for the Airport door to door Shuttle will cost £52 for a family of 4 or a couple and will be sold online, by telephone 0844 482 4575 and in person through the Sky Transfers Booking Office at Samson House, Arterial Road, Basildon starting April 28th, 2009. All minibuses will leave hourly from each area of Essex, Hertfordshire, East and North London covered. All passengers should be ready at the time stated on their ticket so as to keep to schedule. All times listed on the tickets are departure times. Minibuses will depart on time and will not wait for any passengers, who are late, without exception, you will have to get on the next minibus. Travellers should assume that minibuses will take at least 1 hour to arrive at Stansted, but travel time may fluctuate unexpectedly based on traffic conditions. The bus will make one drop-off stop at Bay 31 in the coach station and will not make any alterations to its route as this will inconvenience the other travellers. There is an Airport Escalator and Lift from the coach station which allows travellers to go directly to the terminal concourse.
