Grapevine, TX, United States, 04/22/2009 – Mike Moore, sales manager for the Engineering Services Division of Shermco Industries, presented a seminar on OSHA requirements for qualifying electrical contractors at the VPP Region VI 2009 Conference in Grapevine, Texas on April 8.
Hosted by the Voluntary Protection Program Participants' Association, the conference focused on professional development for Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) professionals through education and networking opportunities. Moore’s presentation covered Subpart S, OSHA’s training requirements and definition of “qualified”, as well as skills and techniques for electrical workers.
“This year’s conference brought together a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise,” said Moore. “Each session identified key issues facing the SH&E profession and attendees were given the skills needed to deal with challenges.”
