KIS Photo-Me Group, the world leader in instant printing equipment, has been awarded a prestigious TIPA for their KIS Photobook Maker, the first self-serve kiosk able to produce a photo book in minutes. Selected from the best photo products introduced over the past twelve months, KIS Photobook Maker was chosen for excellence in image quality and ingenuity in the ability to produce a photo book in minutes.
Established in 1991, TIPA is a non-profit organization made up of independent magazines and expert editors. Every year TIPA editors vote for the best photo and imaging products introduced over the previous twelve month period.
Innovation, leading-edge technology, design, ergonomics, ease of use and performance price ratio are all part of the award selection criteria. This year, the KIS Photobook Maker was awarded “Best Photo Kiosk” for the first end-to-customer solution able to create, print and bind attractive photo albums in minutes.
Cutting edge smart technology software is the cornerstone of the new machine, as it sorts customer photos into an aesthetically pleasing layout, based on photo date and archival properties. High gloss, stain proof and scratch resistant paper, as well as a quality binding system, ensure the DVD jacket size albums are built to bear non-stop admiration.
To complete an album consumers simply bring their images on a memory card or UBS stick to the KIS Photobook Maker, select the images to appear in the book and ensure the images are oriented in the right direction. Consumers then choose a photo for the front cover and enter a title which will be printed on the KIS Photobook cover page and spine. Approximately eight minutes later, consumers leave the kiosk with their new KIS Photobook in hand.
Aimed at retails outlets and tourist locations, the KIS Photobook Maker will revolutionize the photo book industry by offering accessible, easy to create albums, finished in minutes. With the international credit crunch at its peak, retailers will be pleased to extend their service offering with a lucrative means of increasing revenue; KIS Photobook Makers are expected to offer a swift return on investment with profit margins up to fifty percent.
“We are pleased to be selected by TIPA,” begins Nicolas Series, President of KIS USA. “Creating a kiosk able to produce a quality photo book in minutes is a milestone for us at KIS Photo-Me. Gaining recognition from this independent, international group, proves our KIS Photobook Maker uses the latest in imaging technology, offering an inventive way to meet both retail and consumer demands,” finishes Series.
Up to 30 pages and 90 photos can be included in each KIS Photobook. The high quality albums feature 300 dpi print resolution, beautifully showcasing photos. The popular 5.7” x 8” size, complete with the album title printed on the spine, is easy to view, share and store.
TIPA (tipa.com), the technical image press association, was created in 1991 by the editors of 25 European photo magazines. This large, non-profit association is the largest organization of independent European magazines and expert editors. Every year, TIPA editors vote for the best photo & imaging products introduced in Europe during the previous 12 months. TIPA editors take into account innovation, the use of leading-edge technology, design and ergonomics, ease-of-use, as well as price/performance ratio.
