WholeBrain Creativity Inc. is pleased to announce that it is offering two half-day workshops on Thursday, April 23, 2009 for job hunters in the New York City area. The interactive workshops will empower attendees to discover and leverage their unique strengths and identify the steps necessary in realizing their own inspired career paths.
The Learn About You™ workshops will be held on at the in good company workplaces, 16 W. 23rd Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10010. The cost of the workshops are $125 for a half-day workshop (either morning or afternoon), or $200 for both morning and afternoon workshops.
The morning workshop, entitled “Designing the Journey: Discovery & Direction,” will enable attendees to explore their current preferences, skills, and lifestyle desires; expand career possibilities; evaluation existing skills and experiences; and develop a direction and strategy to take them to their new goals.
The morning workshop leader is Michelle Tillis Lederman, CPA, MBA, ACC. Michelle is the founder of Executive Essentials, a training company that provides communications, leadership, and team-building programs, as well as executive coaching services. She specializes in enhancing interpersonal communications for higher effectiveness, empowerment, and productivity and has delivered seminars internationally for corporations, universities, high schools, and non-profit organizations. Michelle is an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business and serves on the faculty of the American Management Association.
The afternoon workshop, entitled “Setting the Course: Planning & Following Through,” will build on the inspiration gained in the morning workshop to guide the attendees in taking smart steps - both strategically and tactically - to realize new career goals. In this workshop, attendees will explore ways to identify people in their targeted profession; learn how to network and conduct informational interviews; craft a unique story that connects their past career to their desired future; prepare for and practice interview challenges; and create a tactical plan with action, timeframes, and ways to measure their progress.
The afternoon workshop leader is Susan R. Meyer, Ed.D., principal of Susan R. Meyer, Coaching and Consulting and Life-Work Coach, provides executive coaching for organizations including the ASPCA, Institute for Community Living and the NYC Department of Homeless Services, personal coaching, and seminars on topics including emotional intelligence, leadership development, reflective mentoring, team building, visual problem solving, fierce communication, career development, life planning, strategic learning and performance management. Dr. Meyer has a doctorate in Adult Learning and Leadership and Master’s degrees in counseling and educational psychology.
