Just look around you. Everything you see visually was created by a graphic designer. There have been many successful reality shows, but none have featured the graphic design geniuses behind major marketing campaigns for print, television, Internet, and mobile devices. Creativity is all around us and C.M.Y.K. – America’s Top Graphic Designer has travelled the United States in search of the greatest creative.
“We’ve visited Atlanta, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, New York, and Chicago, and the Los Angeles area is our last stop,” said Cheryle Reynolds, creator and producer of the new reality competition series. My goal is to present graphic designers in a quality, professional manner concentrating on the art of design. Most people have no idea of what goes into the creation of what they see visually -- everyday. The show will incorporate twists and turns that entertain and educate, spotlighting the designers' skills working as individuals and as teams," continued Reynolds.
The top designer will have fresh ideas using traditional and new technology, handling anything from a logo design, to a layout for a high-end magazine full of text, to a podcast, and on to designing a traffic-stopping billboard. The competition will be televised with seven episodes. Guest judges will include creative directors from AIGA, design firms, magazines, newspapers, corporations, colleges, production companies, printing firms, and music/film celebrities, and the general public. The top designer will receive $50,000 in cash/prizes.
