Mr. Anderson pioneered, and continues to perpetuate the space tourism industry through his company, Space Adventures, which launched the first and only commercial spaceflight missions to the International Space Station. Dennis Tito, Mark Shuttleworth, Greg Olsen made history as the only private citizens to launch to space. The company announced this week that Microsoft’s Charles Simonyi will be one of the next in line for flight.
Space Adventures recently announced the first commercial circumlunar mission and the development of a fleet of suborbital spaceflight vehicles that will launch from spaceports slated for the United Arab Emirates and Singapore. A Zogby poll found that private space exploration could generate revenues for the travel and tourism industry of over $1 billion (USD) a year within 20 years.

About Eric Anderson
Born in Denver, Colorado, Mr. Anderson is a pioneer and outspoken advocate of the commercial space transportation, private space exploration and space tourism industries. Mr. Anderson has authored several technical papers and articles on topics ranging from space tourism to infrared astronomy, launch vehicle analysis to advanced space propulsion and from space sensor design to business and economic evaluations of space-related ventures. He graduated magna cum laude and first in his class at the University of Virginia with a bachelor's of science degree in aerospace engineering. Mr. Anderson was recently awarded membership to Standard & Poor’s Society of Industry Leaders.
