Parma, Italy, 2009/03/10 - Investments for over 4 million euros in new lines. Operating since January, they produce special mortars, waterproofing compounds and products featuring HD technology.
Technokolla reacts against the crisis in the industry with a ground-breaking system that produces special mortars, waterproofing compounds and products with HD technology. It’s Technokolla’s heftiest investment in infrastructures since the company was established: more than 4 million euros have been spent on installing the new lines, which also required the commitment of the entire team.
Technokolla (technokolla.com) is backing research, innovation and technology to overcome the challenges and uncertainties of the market, and to enrich its range with quality products.
• The capacity of the system
The system started work in January and currently produces 1600 to 1800 bags an hour. Sophisticated apparatus allows the most varied raw materials to be used for making special products, lightened and/or fiber-rich materials. The systems can also bag and palletize products with the very finest grain size through to granules 4 millimeters in diameter and then package the finished products in bags with both open and sealed valves able to prevent leakage during transport.
“The special features of the machines we’ve installed are truly numerous,” commented Luigi Perrino, Technokolla’s Technical Director and Research & Development Manager, who added, “We’ve used pioneering technologies and thanks to these have been able to reduce the impact on the environment. The plant cleaning functions actually produce no waste. We can also customize the production cycle as we manufacture the material. This consequently improves the blends and the final performance provided by the products. We can actually achieve accuracy down to a gram in the automatic mode when we dose the individual ingredients and can also diversify the way the products are palletized."
• The comments from Chairman and Managing Director Graziano Verdi and Luigi Perrino, Technical Director and Research & Development Manager
The signal from Technokolla is coming through loud and clear at this difficult time for the whole industry. Hard facts that testify to the company’s desire to back research, technology and quality in order to overcome the challenges of the near future.
“Product and process innovation is of fundamental importance if Technokolla’s products are to stand apart from the standard ones available on the market,” says Graziano Verdi, Chairman and Managing Director of the Sassuolo-based enterprise.
The currently critical situation in the market requires excellence from all aspects if we and our dealer partners are to be able to grasp all the opportunities that come our way.”
Luigi Perrino, Technokolla’s Technical Director and Research & Development Manager is also of the same opinion and adds: “After 10 years of business, it was time to boost and enlarge our production capacity so as to deal with an increase in requests and requirements. In an industry like ours, where skill, research and technological innovation are the hinge-pins, it is essential to keep up with the needs of a market made up of increasingly more careful and knowing professional customers. This is why we were strongly in favour of this investment.
Besides being highly gratified, I was extremely motivated by the project with which the Chairman entrusted me since the results are tangible. I can confidently affirm that, thanks to the new system, we will now be able to enlarge our range of products still further and develop new technologies.”
• The inauguration is scheduled for May
To thanks all those who contributed towards this project, Technokolla has decided to inaugurate the new system at the same time as the customary meeting with the sales force. This means we’ll be cutting the ribbon in May at a ceremony that will involve the entire Technokolla team: managers, executives, agents, office clerks and workers. The event will be a “private affair”.
