DiMora Motorcar announced today that Incandescent, Inc., has become its latest Technology Partner. Its Worldport™ Navigator software will integrate driver-support systems and provide web access in the Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan.
The Worldport Navigator user interface gives the driver the ability to zero in quickly on the system to be controlled and the adjustments to be made, minimizing the time the driver must look away from outside conditions. The status and options appear in a head-up display, selected with fingertip control conveniently located in the center console.
Beyond the automotive sphere, one implementation of the Worldport Navigator software is found as a business and utility application on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. This Apple app can rapidly accomplish tasks and objectives of mobile users without the use of typical search engine processes. Not a search engine or search algorithm, Worldport Navigator is an editor-crafted collection of thousands of the most popular and useful websites, integrated into a completely new and revolutionary interface that allows users to select a web resource in three or four seconds, and then call or navigate, according to their preference.
"The Natalia SLS 2 is an excellent platform to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Worldport Navigator in combing through thousands of options, virtually instantaneously," said Incandescent EVP of Product Development Brad Reddersen.
He went on to say, "The Natalia is a vast collection of electronic and electromechanical systems that can be controlled by the driver. Instead of having dozens of instruments competing for easy-reach space on the dashboard, the Worldport Navigator rapidly brings up the right information and control options from thousands of choices on multifunctional displays easily seen by the driver in all lighting conditions. We expect the same technology to migrate to the aircraft cockpit."
"Here is another American company with a forward-thinking technology that has numerous applications," said DiMora Motorcar Founder Alfred DiMora. "The Natalia SLS 2 will be the most innovative automobile due to all the first-time-ever breakthrough technologies that appear in one vehicle. Worldport Navigator exemplifies our commitment to finding and implementing unique solutions to classic problems."
Based in San Francisco, California, Incandescent, Inc. (worldport.us) builds next-generation expert systems and heuristic interfaces for the Internet, intranets, wireless devices, and control systems in diverse application areas, specializing in information-intensive, real-time environments.
