Atlantic Link, Inc, has been awarded the General Services Administration contract (GSA) to provide key e-learning technologies and solutions through the various departments in the United States Federal Government and any other entity that purchases off the GSA contract. Through the GSA contract, Atlantic Link will be able to immediately offer significantly discounted contract rates to all federally funded entities.
The GSA is a U.S. federal government agency that assists with procurement for other government or government funded bodies. The GSA maintains a database of pre-negotiated contracts, which lifts the burden of negotiating contracts and forming legal agreements with each and every government agency. "We're very happy that all federal agencies can take advantage of volume discounts in our expanded Atlantic Link, GSA agreement," says Mark Sharp, Vice President of North America.
Atlantic Link’s rapid e-learning and collaborative authoring solutions have proven to be very unique and successful in the commercial marketplace, and now will be available to all government entities with access to the GSA contracts. Atlantic Link provides the world's most advanced server based, collaborative rapid e-learning development tool in the market today. The server based platform and authoring solutions are written completely in the latest Microsoft .NET technology; allowing organizations to produce quality e-learning up to 60% faster than with traditional e-learning tools.
Examples of products contracted for the GSA Market, include:
(Content Point) – Rapid e-learning Authoring
Courses are authored directly on the e-learning server through Content Point. This process of ‘remote’ authoring is entirely transparent to the user. Developers, SME’s and designers can all “connect” to the server simultaneously, in real-time allowing for true collaborative development and deployment from anywhere in the world – all on a single server.
(Capture Point) – Capture and IT Simulation Tool
Capture Point allows software training to be produced in hours instead of weeks. Capture Point records your actions in any software application and instantly creates a fully interactive simulation, complete with mouse clicks, keyboard inputs and all user interactions. Capture Point runs alongside any IT application and accurately captures screens and all interaction.
(Knowledge Point) – Collaboration Server and Learning Management System
Knowledge Point facilitates collaborative authoring and reviewing directly on the e-learning server. As well as providing hosting for developed courses, Knowledge Point also provides full LMS functionality, allowing courses to be tracked, scores recorded and more.
"Up until now, Atlantic Link has primarily focused on selling and marketing their e-learning solutions to the financial, medical, retail, insurance, pharmaceutical, high tech, and manufacturing industries. We soon realized, based on the reaction and acceptance we’ve received from our core markets… that the capabilities and uniqueness of our e-learning solutions and products could offer all areas of Federal, state, and local governments substantial benefits,” said Sharp. Some of those benefits include: increasing agencies competency and human capital, security, convenience and also decreasing deployment of skill transfer and everyday usage costs."
